Playing with our Food

In Pathways we learned through experimenting 

with food (and eating it, too!)

We always say a prayer before we eat.

Wednesday we made animal cracker sandwiches
and talked about our favorite animals.

We took our cooking lessons out to the
playground and pretended to make a cake.

One day we used the colors of fruits and
vegetables to do some painting.

Thursday the 1st Year preschoolers went to the Zoo.
In Pathways we talked about the animals they
 saw and then made edible caterpillars.

We used crescent rolls and rolled out the body.

Then we made other features with pretzels,
avocados, cheese and skittles!

Another day we used pretzel rods and licorice to see what
the kids wanted to make.  They decided to go "fishing"!

Later they decided they wanted to paint and together
made this craft.  May I present..."Piggy City"!

Room 2 also had fun with food with these Alphabet Pops.

They are learning colors and letters.

Room 2 had a special story time with Miss Jen last week.
