Honoring our Presidents

After a day off last Monday, Room 4
celebrated Presidents' Day by making
flags and learning about our country.
We cut strips of paper for the flag stripes.

Then we added the stars.

We talked about what the flag means.

God Bless America!

Other days we made George Washington and
more flags to decorate our hallway.

Thursday we used tissue to make a different kind of flag.

Friday we used lots of colorful yarn.

Each child decided what letter or shape
they wanted to cut out and decorate.

Projects all ready to go home!

Play time in Room 6.

Delicious lunch!

Fun in Before Care.

Beach Party

Room 2 took a vacation from the cold
last week and had a Beach Party!
Snacks on the beach blanket.

A dip in the pool.

Relaxing in the lounge chairs.

Nothing like a cool drink on a hot day.

Man, this pool is crowded!

Let's make a sand castle!

Aloha!

Cooling off under the palm trees.

Beach volleyball, anyone?

Besides all the beach activity, we found time to make
Valentine's crafts to decorate the hallway.

Room 4 had another cooking week.

Valentine Smoothies were on the menu one day.

The kids got to help scoop the ingredients into
the blender and see how that works.

Tuesday we made chocolate-dipped strawberries.

Thursday was party day in Preschool and also Pink Day.
We cut heart shapes out of bread and cheese.

We talked about how we can show our loved ones that we care.

Straws were the "stems" of the orange "flowers" and also used
to poke out the strawberry tops.  The strawberries were filled
with a cream cheese mixture that the kids helped make.

We made ladybug Valentines.
The kids cut out hearts for the head and body.

Paint dabbers were used for the spots.

We can get creative and make whatever we want!

Playing with Play-Dough.

At work at the train station.

Room 6 is Happy And They Know It!
