Thanksgiving Meal

Many homes are busy preparing for this week's
Thanksgiving meal.  In Room 4 we have also spent
time making snacks to celebrate the holiday.
Monday we made teepees.

The cones were layered with frosting, then pretzels
were put in a hole in the tip of the cone.

We talked about the different types of places people lived.

Another day we made turkeys out of cookies and candy.

We all said what we eat on Thanksgiving.

Friday we talked about the First Thanksgiving
and how the Indians and Pilgrims came
together to share a meal.

We used english muffins, apples and candy
to make a native american with a headdress.

Room 2 worked on their color of the month.
We learned what colors to mix to make Brown.

Then we made a leaf project with
the paint we created.

Pathways Painting

We have been painting in Pathways!
We painted with feathers one day.

Working on cutting.

We traced our hands to make trees.

We used loofahs to paint owls.

Then we added a "log" made from a bag and added eyes.

We painted colorful turkeys another day.

For Friday's Brown Day we painted beavers.

The kids cut out the head and used a big brush to paint the fur.

Then they glued on the face, ears and teeth.

Room 2 painted turkeys, too.

Working on our fine motor skills with
Froot Loop lacing.
