Sunset Hills Police Visit

The Preschoolers had a visit from the Sunset Hills Police Department this week.

The officers shared safety tips for Halloween with us.

It was a lot of fun to check out the police car...both inside and out!

Halloween Cooking

We had so much fun last week in Pathways with our cooking in Room 4! 

We learned about kitchen safety while we made fun Halloween treats.

 We molded spooky fingers out of crescent dough

 We talked about the cooking process: mixing, melting, 

raw vs. cooked, liquid vs. solid, hot vs. cold...

What goes into Rice Krispie treats?

We mixed yellow and red to make our ORANGE DAY snacks!

The kids shaped the treats into pumpkins

What is inside a real pumpkin?  How does it feel?

We baked the seeds so the kids could see them before and after

 We also carved pumpkins on both Thursday and Friday

Preschool Progress

The teachers were busy checking the kids' progress for conferences 

which will be the 1st week of November.  We also talked about in

 chapel how with God's word we can grow by reading the bible.

Fall Painting

Last week in Pathways Room 4 we talked about Autumn.  We discussed 

different animals, Halloween and what happens to the leaves on the trees.

We made ghosts out of tissues 

 and shaving cream!

 We painted Fall scenes

We painted trees after talking about the seasons they go through

Room 2 also painted trees

 and they made a fun Halloween rhyme come to life...check the hallway!

Picture Day

What beautiful smiles for our picture days!  The weather is cooling off outside and 

the Preschool halls are bustling with Halloween excitement.  Yay October days!!!!

Pathways Fun

We have been keeping busy lately in Pathways with lots 

of educational and fun activities!

Room 4 made puzzles: apples, tigers, squares.

Next we learned about sponges - wet vs.  dry, real vs. fake, hard vs. soft.

We also played games with the sponges

and stamped Halloween pictures with them.

On Friday we saw that shapes are all around us.

We made trains and cars out of circles and rectangles.

Room 2 had fun building with blocks,

taking a break,

petting a friend,

and hearing a story!
