Halloween Cooking

We had so much fun last week in Pathways with our cooking in Room 4! 
We learned about kitchen safety while we made fun Halloween treats.
 We molded spooky fingers out of crescent dough

 We talked about the cooking process: mixing, melting, 
raw vs. cooked, liquid vs. solid, hot vs. cold...
What goes into Rice Krispie treats?

We mixed yellow and red to make our ORANGE DAY snacks!

The kids shaped the treats into pumpkins

What is inside a real pumpkin?  How does it feel?

We baked the seeds so the kids could see them before and after

 We also carved pumpkins on both Thursday and Friday

Stirring up pumpkin muffins!
