Pumpkin Patch

Pathways closed out October by

decorating pumpkins in Room 4 and

having some other holiday fun in Room 2.

Room 4 painted pumpkins for book covers.

Inside we wrote about what we like about Halloween.

At the end of the week we decorated
actual pumpkins.

The kids could choose paint, stickers or whatever they
wanted.  There was even one mummy!

They loved the glitter paint.

Room 2 made a candy corn craft.

They also worked on their fine motor skills
with a spider game.

Miss Lisa got the kids into some
moustache costume fun.

Boo!

Halloween Parties

We are celebrating our 

"Spooktacular" parties this week.

Thank you to all our party moms

and dads.  Have a safe Halloween!

Halloween Treats

Pathways made Halloween Treats!

 

Ghost Treats were made with Rice Krispies
and Skittles.

We molded them with our hands and then put on the faces.

Cheesy Pumpkins were made
another day.  We love to
get messy! 

We rolled soft cheese and then added a pretzel stem. 

We added a spooky face to a cheese stick to make a ghost.

Booooo!

Spiders were made with crackers, frosting and pretzels.

We added white chocolate chips for the eyes.

In addition to our cooking last week, we made Frankensteins.

Room 2 got in on the Halloween Treat fun.

We had Krispy Kreme Vampire Treats.

The fun continued after snack time!

Room 2 also made ghosts with their feet!

Monster Feet

We are stomping into preparations

for our Halloween festivities.

for preschool are on Oct. 29th and 

30th from 10:30 - 11:30 a.m.

Halloween Crafts

Room 4 Pathways has scared up

some spooky Halloween crafts!

The kids are all excited about Halloween!

We talked about what they do to mark the holiday.

They painted bats, spiders, pumpkins, monsters - 
whatever they wanted.

Hand-print cats were made another day.

We made scarecrows using different shapes and
talked about what farmers use scarecrows for.

We worked on counting by playing
with dominoes.

 Each child got ten to count and sort by color.
