Look, up in the sky!

We had fun in Pathways last week making 

crafts that had to do with the sky.

We used our cutting skills.

We created beautiful designs on one side and saw the pattern
appear on the other side when we folded it over.

We talked about what we can see in the sky that flies.

Another day we talked about when we see rainbows.

The sun is something else we see up in the sky!

We made clouds, too, and talked about how different they can be.

We decorated the hall with our creations.

Spring is here!

We are back and refreshed from our Easter Celebrations.

Our school days continue with Spring activities.

It's so good to see our kids 

soaking up the sun on the playground.

Easter treats

Pathways was getting ready for Easter

last week by making some yummy treats.

These are our "Pear Bunnies"!

While we made these fun creations,
we talked about our plans for Easter.

We made nests out of home-made Rice Krispie treats.

The "eggs" are jelly beans.

We also found time to work on some other Easter crafts.

We made chicks for the nests!

A couple days we colored Easter eggs.

Pretty!

We had to be very soft when painting
the eggs so they would not crack.

Later we cracked an egg on purpose so we could eat it at snack time.

We talked about using raw eggs in recipes and then
 all the different ways that we cook eggs to eat them.

Room 2 made their own creations with Play-Doh.

They also played with toys

and built with blocks.

Easter is coming!

This week we learned about the meaning

behind the colored eggs.

Purple - Crown of Life

Blue - Baptism

Green - New Life

Yellow - Light

Red - Blood

White - Purity

Black - Sin

We also had a special visit by the "Easter Bunny"

who came and "wrecked" our rooms by hopping

 around to bring treats for our baskets we made.

Making Books

Pathways Room 4 authored some 

very creative books last week:

We made flower books and talked
 about the Spring weather.

What do we like to do outside? What do we see outside?

Talking about Easter Eggs got us discussing
what animals lay eggs.

That started us talking all about dinosaurs!

Another day we made Easter Egg books.

We all said what we like best about celebrating the holiday. 

Our final book was a water-colored kite with a cross.

We talked about the true meaning of Easter.
