Paint It

 We had fun with paint in Pathways before Spring Break!

We mixed blue and yellow to make green.

We painted frogs.

Tuesday we talked about things that fly.

Wednesday we made flower pots.

What flowers do you have at your house?

Thursday we painted our own hats.

What do you know about St. Patrick's Day?

 Thursday and Friday were both Green Day

so we named everything we could think of

that is Green.

Friday we made the Irish flag for St.
Patrick's Day. What does a flag represent?

We also sponge-painted shamrocks and added glitter.

Room 2 got into the painting fun
while getting ready for Easter.

Cooking Class

The Preschoolers enjoyed preparing

their own snack during class.

Everyone gobbled up their own

"personal calzone".  Yummy!

In like a lion...

March is here!

March sure came in like a lion with all the changing weather.

We made lions in Pathways Room 4 last week.

We also made lambs and put our creations on the wall.

Later we made crosses and talked about
the new life that comes in Spring.

Then we talked about and made our favorite foods.

Cupcakes are at the top of
the list for many people!

Preschool Visitors

The preschool classes learned about dental health this past week. 

The Pre-K kids even had a visit
 from Dr. Greaves the Dentist.

First Year Preschoolers enjoyed a trip to the
 choir loft and learned how a pipe organ
 works from Mr. Justin!

We made books in Pathways Room 4 this week.

Tuesday we made animal books.

We made the animal we like and wrote about it.

Thursday preschool talked about dental health, so
we carried the lesson over to Pathways.

We made puppets or faces with big teeth.

We talked about why it is important to clean
 our teeth and what happens if we don't.

Pre-K kids took graduation photos on Friday so we
made diplomas as "books" and decorated caps.

We are ready to graduate!

Special Days

It was Cooking Week in Room 4 last week!

Making cookies is often a fun time spent
with someone special.  

We shaped and decorated sugar cookies. 

Last Monday was President's Day.  We
talked about why that is an important day.

We made flags out of cookies and fruit.

Camping is fun to do with your family
and friends.  We made our own campfires.

What else do you make to eat with
 a campfire, but S'mores?!?

Rm 6 is having a good time with food, too!
