Animals Abound

It was a wild week in Pathways with 

discussions about different types of animals.

In Room 4 we made our own Groundhogs

and talked about the yearly tradition of the Groundhog
predicting early spring or more winter.

Another day we made rainbow "fish" out of hearts.

Where do fish live? What colors are they?

Do you have your own fish at home?

Friday we talked about cats: lions, tigers,
our pets, etc. and then made our own.

Room 2 has been getting ready
for Valentine's Day.

They are also learning shapes and colors!

and sometimes just chillin'!

Groundhog Day

Will spring  be coming soon or will 

we still have this cold weather?  

The preschoolers learned about 

Punxsutawney Phil and his 

"scientific" weathercasting!!

Making Books

We made our own books last 

week in Pathways Room 4.

Our  book covers on Tuesday were things we
see up in the sky, like the sun, stars and clouds.

On Thursday our book was the
steps of building a snowman.

"Do you want to build a snowman?"

We wrote our name and added
 glitter "snow" on the cover.

On Friday we made Panda Bear books.
The kids used their cutting and painting skills
and dictated what story they wanted on the inside.

We named things that are black and
white (together) and also gray.

Open House

The kids enjoyed showing off their classroom and artwork to 

their parents and grandparents at Open House Tuesday night.

Fun with Food

It was Cooking Week in Room 4 Pathways

last week. We had fun playing with 

our food and learning along the way.

We made bird nests and
talked about where animals live.

We spread butter and sprinkled cinnamon
  sugar to make our own sweet toast.

It was PJ day so we had breakfast food.

We made donuts on Friday.

What foods do you like to eat for breakfast?

We also watched a puppy video from the library.

Sometimes we just play!

In Room 2 Pathways we have been getting ready for Preschool.

We are learning colors...

and counting.

We are also learning the rules of the road!
