We pretended it was Saturday morning....complete with breakfast menus

Flashlight games, a movie and a story put lots of smiles on our Preschooler and Teacher faces.

Lots of fun in Pathways Room 4 last week!

Each person is special - just like a snowflake!

We talked about healthy foods as we
painted with apples and potatoes.

We finger painted fruit pictures as we
talked about germs and how to stay healthy.

Sloppy fun with shaving cream!
We discussed opposites, like messy vs. neat.

It's slightly warmer outside, but we made
blankets as we talked about staying cozy.

As we did this, we learned colors.

We learned shapes, too.

We also learned shapes by
playing Shape Bingo.

Staying Healthy

The Preschool classes learned about 

keeping their hearts and teeth healthy 

from visitors Nurse Ali and Dentist Judy!

Lots of Learning

Many different topics have been

 discussed in Pathways this past week! 

We just celebrated Jesus' birthday -
how do you celebrate yours?

We made birthday cakes in Room 4.

What do you need to wear in the cold weather?

One of our friends just got back from Argentina.
What is the weather like there?

We made hats, mittens and boots, and
dressed this guy in warm-weather gear.

In Preschool the kids talked about penguins for winter and
White Day.  That led us in Pathways to talking about other
birds and also how animals stay warm during winter.

In Room 2 the kids worked on
learning colors with clothespins.

They also learned shapes.

Room 6 played in the kitchen -

and watched the wheels in motion.

We had to stay indoors to play.

Christmas Cooking

The week before Break Pathways 

Room 4 was busy cooking lots

 of yummy Christmas treats.

With all the sugary sweets we made 

sure also to talk about eating healthy.

We made Elf Hats

and Sugar Cookies.

 We had fun decorating!

On Thursday we mixed dough to make Gingerbread Men.

 More fun decorating!

Friday we made ice cream cone "trees"
